Community Programs

Member participation is the backbone of Temple Beth Sholom. Your special talents are welcome and needed. Getting involved is a wonderful way to enhance your TBS experience, to meet new people, and to work together towards a stronger community.

It takes a great number of volunteers to keep our community going and growing. Please take a minute to peruse the committee information pages and use the email links to contact the committee chairperson if you would like to find out more information.

We have a wide variety of groups available for all ages, so everyone is sure to find something that will interest them! Below is a partial listing of the many clubs and committees that our members enjoy.

A Message from the Administrator

APRIL 2008

In the blink of an eye, the year is speeding along. This month we look forward to two major events, the annual TBS Auction and the first Community Seder held in our new home. You will find articles on both events elsewhere in the newsletter. Please do your best to support both activities. Their success depends on you!

As the weather begins to warm, the trees are budding, and so are weeds!  It’s time again to think about how you might help with care of the garden. We will appreciate help with planting, weeding, and watering from those who like to play in the dirt and water. We are hoping to find some donations of bark dust which then will need to be spread. Be in touch if you would like to help.

I hope you have noticed the wonderful improvements in our sanctuary sound system. Thanks to a generous, anonymous, donation, we have eight new speakers and related updated equipment. In addition, two new hearing devices have arrived. Thanks to Chris Boga for his research into appropriate equipment and to Chris and Les Gutfreund for enormous work to install all the new items.

The office is sporting a new color copy machine. We now are able to make color copies in house! Our newsletter and other publications will begin to display spots of color.

Do you find the information you are looking for in the newsletter? What types of articles would you like to see? We always appreciate input on what works and what does not. Share your ideas with us!
