Awakening Love and Awe: Kabbalistic practices from the Tanya
with Rabbis Eli Herb, Lee Moore, Seth Wax
Fridays: Noon-1:15 pm
(May 28, June 4, June 11)
Deep within us lies the desire for depth, awe, and intimacy with the Divine and the world around us. Yet so often, we are unable to authentically access these feelings. Over two hundred years ago Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liady, the founder of the Chabad movement of Hasidism, published a series of teachings to help guide his followers to discover, develop and refine these emotional states. In this elective, you will be invited into these practices as we explore selections of the Tanya in translation and in the original Hebrew. No prior knowledge of Hebrew necessary.
Rabbi Eli will be teaching at Romemu’s Immersive Program! If you’d like to join this class, please register at this link: Register Here
Rabbis Lee Moore, Eli Herb, and Seth Wax are graduates of Hebrew College Rabbinical School, who have worked in congregational, organizational, and campus settings for the last ten years. They have been studying contemplative material in the Tanya under the guidance of their teacher Rabbi Ebn Leader.
