Library

We have a wonderful library with shelves and shelves of books for all ages.

The library is cozy enough to sit and relax with a good book while the kids are in class, and big enough for small groups of people to explore the possibilities together.

Guests are welcome to peruse the options, but only members may check out books to take home (another benefit of membership!). Stop by the library on any Sunday during religious school hours to find something that interests you.

Also, we now have a lending library in the foyer.  Feel free to borrow and return books at your leisure.

Gift Shop

A great way to support TBS and find all of your Judaica needs locally in Salem is to shop at the TBS Gift Shop!  Our stock rotates with the holidays, so come find what you need for your next celebration.

The gift shop carries a large variety of basic Judaic supplies as well as unique specialty and gift items for every occasion. Each purchase helps to provide TBS with its synagogue Judaica needs and also helps to support various programs throughout the year.

Best of all, TBS members get a 10% discount on ALL purchases!

Facility Rental

Our beautiful building offers ample opportunity for meetings, activities, classes and more. Our social hall is a wonderful space for banquets, lectures and social gatherings. Our downstairs rooms can be used as classrooms, business offices or conference rooms. Space is available for rent to members and non-members.

Equipment rental is also available: Large screen TV with media setup, projector, screen, microphone, and podium.

Some events that we have hosted in our facility include:

  • Helping Hands Tea
  • Queen of Peace Citizenship Classes
  • Salem Chamber of Commerce Greeters
  • Various workshops, classes, and presentations
